There is nothing more satisfying…. and productive then to have someone with power like your work. Back in April I was invited to airbrush models at a magazine release party. This was not a paying job, but I figured “what will I lose other then some paint”. So I packed up my airbrush and compressor and did some body paintings. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made concerning art. I met a guy that promotes events. He brought me a job for airbrushing, and the work I’ve done must have pleased him. I talked to him yesterday and he got me jobs airbrushing models at a break dance dance-off tournament in September, maybe one in August as well.
Now one might say street art isn’t your focus, but to me art is art. If there’s any kind of opportunity to make money with art, take it. It doesn’t mean you have compromised your style or your taste. But who knows? You might have enjoy it.
社会である程度の力を持ってる者に自分の絵が気に入られる事ほど満足兼為になる事はない。今年の四月にとあるマガジンのリリースパーティーにモデルにエアブラシをしてくれと招待された。無料で収入にはならないが「まぁ、試してみようぁ」と思いエアブラシとコンプレッサーを鞄に詰めてボディアートをしてきた。美術に関しては多分私が今まで出決行した中で一番いい判断だったのかも知れないと思う。そこでイベントをプロモーションする男性に会った。彼からエアブラシの仕事を依頼され、私の仕事を気に入ったのだろう。昨日彼と話した時に９月に行われるブレークダンスのトーナメントでのエアブラシを再び依頼された。
「でもストリートアートはあなたの遣りたい分野とちょっと違うんじゃない？」と言ってくる知り合いはいる。でも私にとってアートはアートである。どんな仕事・状況だろうともアートで収入が出来る機会があればそれを掴み取れというのが私の持論。どんな仕事を引き受けても自分の持ってるスタイルや好きな分野を変えなければならないなんて事はない。
もしかしたら意外とそれを楽しむ可能性もあるからね。
